Module 4. Advanced techniques- fasting, Heavy metal testing & detox, removing dental toxicity.
Last module I introduced the 4 common characteristics of ALL cancers.
In this module we are going to discuss advanced healing strategies that will address these, as well as more in depth detoxification techniques. This is meant for educational and informational purposes only. I highly recommend if you would like to integrate these protocols to work with an experienced alternative health practitioner. Oncologists and conventional medical doctors do not learn about these in their training and likely have very little knowledge about it, unless they actively pursued this on their own time.
In Module 4 we will discuss...Fasting & juicing, and organ/ full body detoxification.
Fasting is the willing abstinence or reduction from some or all food, drink, or both, for a period of time. This gives the body an opportunity to rest and return to its natural state of
Homeostasis or balance.
Fasting frees up large amounts of energy that would otherwise be used by the digestive organs.
It gives the body a chance to re-establish metabolic function and is an extremely rapid method of detoxification. Fasting helps the body to heal and to resist diseases, infections, & toxins.
During a fast, toxins are drawn out of the cells and tissues throughout the whole body. Eliminating waste products allows an increase in cellular oxygenation and improves cellular nutrition. The body is then able to produce new healthy cells to replace the diseased ones. Conditions that the body could not correct on a normal diet are improved, and the body is cleansed and renewed. Consuming lots of fresh water is imperative to facilitate the flushing of toxins and old cells. Herbal teas and remedies can be incorporated as well to help the body cleanse.
Often, however, some type of heat therapy is also necessary, as fasting will not release or remove all of the lipid-soluble toxins in fat tissues. This is where saunas are useful. Sweating removes these lipid soluble toxins efficiently.
Fasting has been used therapeutically since at least the 5th century bce and appears in all ancient medical texts. Greek physician Hippocrates prescribed fasting as a means of achieving good health and curing many conditions. It is still used in numerous religions as a means of purifying the body physically and spiritually. Animals instinctively fast when they are sick or injured.
The benefits of fasting are too numerous to list them all; however, the following are
the more important benefits. Fasting:
-Improves chemotherapeutic effects: Some really interesting research and results are being published that supports the role of fasting in cancer treatment and prevention. A recent study demonstrated that a 60 hour fasting period starting 36 hours before CT yielded a greater tolerance of treatment, and higher energy levels of patients in comparison to those who did not fast. It resulted in reduced side effects such as nausea, vomiting, headaches and cramps. Fasting deprives cancer cells of their energy source, weakens them and thereby increases the toxicity of the treatment on the cancer cells only. Fasting before CT has a protective effect on healthy cells.
Types of Fasting. Short-term fasting lasts from one to three days. More than three days is considered long-term fasting.
FASTING CONTRAINDICATIONS
As a general warning: long-term fast should be under supervision from an experienced, qualified health practitioner. Individuals on medications, especially diabetics, require supervision.
Low blood pressure, anaemia, bleeding, ulcers, some types of cancer, diabetes, epilepsy, liver and kidney disease, ulcerative colitis, and gout are all contraindications for fasting.
A final note on fasting: as with all detox programs, preparation both physically and mentally can make the process easier. Some unpleasant side effects can occur during fasting: headache, light-headedness/dizziness, irritability, low blood sugar, weakness and fatigue. It is important to rest and drink plenty of fluids. Avoid vigorous exercise, although some gentle stretching, yoga, walking and the like are helpful to keep blood and lymph circulating and eliminating toxins.
